Storefront Stories: Growth in Downtown Aurora

Our first Storefront Stories event was held on May 14th, a special downtown experience hosted by the Aurora Downtown Project Economic Development Committee.

This free engaging walking event was led by Michele Parbury and highlighted three downtown Aurora businesses, Ava Belle's Flea Market, Trendy Resale, and Front Porch Mercantile. We stepped inside their spaces and heard directly from the business owners. They shared their journeys of business development, renovation and remodeling projects, challenges they’ve overcome, and how their dreams became reality right here in downtown Aurora.

Appetizers were provided by our sponsor, nonprofit Make Our Day: prepared with locally sourced market fresh ingredients, to celebrate the upcoming downtown Farmers Market Fridays.

We wrapped up the evening at Winston's, where several attendees stayed for dinner and continued the conversation.
