Hometown Heroes Banners
Each year, banners honoring veterans who have served our country and have ties to our hometown—whether through family, living here, or a love for Aurora—are displayed along light posts in our beautiful downtown area, from Memorial Day to Veterans Day. These banners are a tribute to all veterans with connections to Aurora.
Banner orders are not open right now. We will begin taking orders again in the spring. Thank you for helping us honor our hometown heroes.
FAQ
Q. When can I order a banner?
A. We will start taking orders in the spring. We only create these banners once a year.
Q. What happens to the banners during the winter?
A. Aurora Downtown Project will store them if you would like them to be rehung.
Q. I’ve seen banners hanging at Winston’s, can I take mine home?
A. Winston’s and others were gifted old banners after we rebranded. If you want your banner, we can let you have it, but we won’t be able to rehang it and you will have to purchase another banner if you want one hung in the future.
