Host the next Storefront Story
Storefront Stories: Growth in Downtown Aurora — August 20
Our second Storefront Stories walking event, hosted by the Aurora Downtown Project Economic Vitality Committee, stepped inside three downtown businesses — Urban Unwind, Olive Street Mercantile, and The Garden Exchange — to hear the owners tell their stories of building, renovating, and growing right here in downtown Aurora. Thanks to everyone who walked with us and stayed for dinner at Winston’s!

Our first Storefront Stories — May 14
Our first Storefront Stories event was held on May 14th, a special downtown experience hosted by the Aurora Downtown Project Economic Vitality Committee.
This free engaging walking event was led by Michele Parbury and highlighted three downtown Aurora businesses, Ava Belle’s Flea Market, Trendy Resale, and Front Porch Mercantile. We stepped inside their spaces and heard directly from the business owners. They shared their journeys of business development, renovation and remodeling projects, challenges they’ve overcome, and how their dreams became reality right here in downtown Aurora.
Appetizers were provided by our sponsor, nonprofit Make Our Day: prepared with locally sourced market fresh ingredients, to celebrate the upcoming downtown Farmers Market Fridays.
We wrapped up the evening at Winston’s, where several attendees stayed for dinner and continued the conversation.
