“Simply put, no matter where I live or travel to, Aurora is home. I’ve built an amazing career and community in Springfield, but that wouldn’t have been possible without the foundation that set me up for that success in Aurora. I want to be part of making sure Aurora has the ability to give those same possibilities to anyone living there now or kids growing up there.”
We are excited about the wealth of experience and expertise that Megan is bringing to the Aurora Downtown Project. A graduate of Aurora High School, she went on to graduate from Ozarks Technical College with an Associate of Arts then graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Megan has worked in a variety of professional positions and is currently working as Operations Strategist with Maxon Fine Jewelry in Springfield Missouri. She is active in the community and has experience working with several nonprofits.
Megan took oversight of the Organization Committee from Carrie Howlett, who has served on this committee since its inception. Carrie is still on the committee but will be focusing more on her duties as City Manager and City Liaison to Aurora Downtown Project.
One of Megan’s first committee projects is Downtown Matters, coming up soon on September 19th at 5pm where we will be hosting a public networking event at the Aurora Community Center. Join us as we share updates, celebrate progress, and discuss the future of downtown Aurora, MO.
